The MVLGA match between the Presidents Team and the winners of the County Teams Championships, Staffordshire, was played on a beautiful day, April 18th 2023, at Branston Golf Club in Staffordshire. The course looked superb especially the Greens even after the exceptional wet weather we have been experiencing.

Representing the Presidents team were : Sophie Beardsall, Carol Wild, Tracey Williamson, Suzanne Pretty, Pat Hale, Helen Lowe, Liz Moverley, Claire Howells, Sue Penfold, Andrea Stockdale, Sarah Cranton, and Rosemary Whitehouse.

Representing Staffordshire : Debbie Warren, Anne Fern,Sue Spencer,Pam Bailey, Julie Brown, Nicola Lockley, Tracey Klek, Sally Sketcher (Captain MVLGA), Bridget Locke, Jayne Fletcher , Caroline Corrigan and Carol Alford (Captain of Staffordshire Lady Veterans).

The matches were all very close with some exciting finishes on the 18th. The final result was 3½ to 2½ to Staffordshire. Many thanks to all the ladies who played, and to Carol for all the organisation and making the day run so smoothly. I am looking forward to seeing many ladies at the forthcoming MVLGA Championships at Coxmoor Golf Club on May 25th 2023.
