Report Day 2 v South

We arrived at the club and the rain was lashing down.

The South are a very strong team with 6 internationals in their team and 3 ex British Seniors Champions.

The foursomes pairings of Helen Lowe/Mary Maclaren. Sue Spencer/Caron Harrison and Carol Gibbs /Carol Wild did amazingly and we finished 1 1/2 each.

The weather was true links with very windy conditions, but all the players coped admirably with some great golf being played. 2 of the 3 matches went down the 18th.

Thankfully the rain cleared and it turned I to another beautiful day.

The course is proving a good test, with holes 15- 18 proving crucial and testing.

The south proved too strong in the singles and we finished our match 6-3 down.
